Se proporciona información sobre los animales musgo (Bryozoa o Ectoprocta), un panorama general de lo que se sabe de ellos en México, con énfasis en las especies dulceacuícolas y se reportan por primera vez para colonias de Pectinatella magnifica en la Presa El Cuchillo, municipio de China, Nuevo León. Se describe la estructura de la especie, los métodos de dispersión, impactos y distribución mundial.
